Meg and Tom- A Perfect Backyard Wedding
Although plans changed, Meg and Tom were still able to exchange their own wedding vows in front of family and friends on a beautiful summer day. Meg looked stunning in a gorgeous yet simple white dress and Tom had the perfect shark tie to go with his blue suit.
A teary eyed Meg came out of the house and walked across the lawn to her beaming husband to be. Her dad made her laugh, but as he walked by me I noticed he was getting choked up too. When their story unfolded, as told by friend and officiant Alex, there were plenty of laughs, blotting of tears, and I noticed Tom’s mom and dad hold hands, as if to say this was all meant to be. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the yard as Meg and Tom exchanged their own vows, promising to be each other’s best friend and exclaiming what an amazing parent each other will be. And when Tom brushed aside Meg’s tears as she read her vows- my eyes welled up! I loved the look Meg’s sister gave her as she read the Scottish blessing and when there was a mention of family, one of the pups gave little cry in acknowledgment. These moments are EVERYTHING on a wedding day.
I’m looking forward to celebrating again next year at Terrydiddle Farm and seeing one of the best couples – and their sweet pups- again!
I adore taking pictures of these guys- as they have the best smiles and laughs! Enjoy some of my favorites and CONGRATULATIONS guys!
