Wayside Inn November Night Wedding- Sudbury MA- Ann and Jack
It was a chilly night in November when the Red Wedding, I mean Ann and Jack said their vows in the Wayside Inn Chapel. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky as we prepared for all the fun that was about to happen!
There are so many little details about this wedding that make it entirely too special and such an awesome way to end the 2019 wedding season. Let’s give you a glimpse into Ann and Jack’s wedding…
When we first started talking about their wedding day at their Boston engagement session, they let me know that they had some things planned. They asked if I was familiar with the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones… my eyes widened as I realized this was going to be EPIC. Yes I binged GOT AGAIN before the final season, so I was ‘familiar’ to say the least. They had their wedding party ready for a battle with nerf guns (archers) and knives hidden in bouquets. I was excited for this moment to happen. Thankfully Jack gave everyone a speech before the wedding ceremony to let everyone know to stay and watch.
Their friend Chris Snyder began playing the Rains of Castamere and it was announced that ‘the Lannister’s sent their regards’ to the couple. Then shots rang down on the bridal party from the pews and balcony. The brides people attacked the grooms people and chaos ensued. I think my favorite part was maid of honor, Kate Hamby-Hopkins standing over one of the groomsmen admiring her attack. Also should mentioned this took place under the gorgeous birch Chuppah that Jack’s sister, Annie, made for them.
As we moved to the reception, the speeches came and a Dinosaur…but you’ll see that later in the pictures! Ann’s grandmother recited two wonderful poems because she couldn’t chose between them for the sweet couple. She gave beautiful advice for a long happy marriage! Jack’s mom happily welcomed Ann to the family and was so excited that Jack found his someone. I LOVED that Ann’s dad talked about her amazing qualities AND wore a tie that she had made for him when she was little. It was so cute that he found that for her wedding day. Of course the maid of honor and best man speeches topped it off with the moments they knew Ann and Jack were made for each other. With Josh encouraging the weird life they’ll create together. A nod to his and Jack’s childhood.
Ann and Jack made sure to grab pictures with their awesome friend groupings that came in droves to see them get hitched! They proceeded to join them on the dance floor for Hava Nagila (Hora) to kick things off and then a completely crazy mix of songs that only Ann and Jack could pull off at their wedding.
To Ann and Jack – “You’re mine and I’m yours. And if we die, we die. But first, we’ll live.”
Congratulations!! Wishing you all the best!
