An elegant Spring wedding with Ocean views in Bristol, Rhode Island
When it comes to a venue for an elegant spring wedding, look no further than the sprawling and stunning Blithewold Mansion. Tiffany and Ryan’s wedding here was no exception. Their rose / sapphire blue color combination popped off the gorgeous backdrop. And with a little cloud cover, the garden ceremony was a perfect setting!
We started the day over at the hotels where the gorgeous Tiffany was having her hair and make up done by one of my favorites, Bella Rose Beauty RI. She looked absolutely perfect and was ready to do first looks with her father and step father. They were both so emotional! While Ryan gave an emotional speech to his groomsmen. They both value their friends and family so much, which became so evident in only the short time myself and my second photographer spent while they were getting ready. Once ready, we headed to Blithewold to do their wedding party photos. The men opted for the waterfront, so they headed to the dock to do their pictures. While I stayed up with the ladies to do their pictures the garden. While the guys pretended to throw Ryan overboard, the girls sang as loud as they could for some fun candids.
Then it was time for their first look, which was absolutely incredible. We had Ryan stay on the dock and had Tiffany walk out to him. Thankfully we were able to capture the two angles and from a distance. I love being able to let the couple have their time together during a first look. If you’re thinking about a first look, check out this blog here! We made sure we had all kinds of time to do this and then do their wedding portraits so they could enjoy the rest of the night! Ryan was so emotional, so we gave them some time to themselves. One of my favorite shots was as a sailboat passes by while Ryan melts over how stunning Tiffany was!
Next we headed to the water garden to take some pictures on the bridge and with all the greenery. Before guests started arriving, we did their immediate family photos and wedding party on the patio in the back of the mansion. After that we headed to the garden to get ready for the ceremony. It’s the perfect spot to give an elegant spring wedding feel! The entrance to the garden is wonderful, as the bride comes through the doors on the patio and down the stairs. Tiffany was escorted by both her father and stepfather until the final walk down the aisle, which was done by her father. The smiles were abundant! The ceremony was beautiful and Ryan could not have been cuter with his joy showing outwardly.
After they were congratulated by their family and wedding party. Ryan was able to FaceTime with his grandmother who couldn’t make the trip. His grandfather was absolutely adorable and his smile said it all! Tiffany’s father and Ryan had a great cry together as she looked on and happily (laughed) smiled at them. Their moms embraced excitedly since they were officially family now. We did extended family photos in the garden and then let everyone head to cocktail hour.
On our way to cocktail hour, we did some formal portraits leading down the manicured lawn down to the water. Then used the mansion in the backdrop for some fun ones! We ended by having them walk through the Moon Gate, to bring the newlyweds good luck! After that they joined their friends and family for the remainder of cocktail hour and then their reception began. Tiffany and Ryan wanted to capture all the fun, so they had us stay until the very end! The glow wands were so much fun for everyone and made for cool pictures. They also opted for a streamer exit which was epic!
It was a gorgeous wedding for an amazing couple! I enjoyed getting to know them so much!
Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Moe
