Massachusetts Horse Farm Wedding in the Summer
When it comes to Massachusetts horse farm wedding venues, you may be thinking what does this look like? How about a perfectly manicured lawn, ceremony overlooking the pond, spotless barn and horse paddocks. Sound beautiful? Then this venue may be your perfect spot for a fun and laidback wedding. And that is exactly what Liz and Alex were hoping for when they booked Terrydiddle Farm.
When I first spoke to Liz, I immediately knew I would love capturing their wedding day. Her smile is infectious and she was so genuinely kind. She spoke about Alex in a way that said they were perfect for each other! They loved the fact that you could have an outdoor ceremony, lawn games and of course the horses on the property! It’s tough to find a Massachusetts horse farm wedding vibe that is affordable and has such a gorgeous property that you have all to yourself! Not to mention the family that runs it, is incredible to work with!
This horse farm venue provide a beautiful little bridal suite for photographers to capture wedding day details and some candids of the girls (and guys) before they line up for the ceremony. It’s a great spot to stay cool and hide away from guests as they arrive. In this case, sneak a peek at your handsome groom before he sees you walk down the aisle.
Since Alex and Liz had some fun parts of the wedding day scheduled for later in the reception, we started the day right at Terrydiddle Farm, so I could capture some details of their day and final getting ready moments for Liz, her mom and bridal party. Her details were elegant as well as rustic. Completed with cowboy boots to match the horse farm wedding feel. The bright purple and sunflower bouquets, by (Rosebud Florists) were a brilliant pop of color against the sage bridesmaid dresses. The guys arrived around the same time, so we were able to do Alex’s pictures with his groomsmen beforehand. You would never know if Alex was nervous, because he always has the best smile and a joking personality. His groomsmen wore a classic gray for the summertime wedding.
Guests were entertained with the flower bearing best man as he came down the aisle. The heartfelt speeches during the ceremony provided fun reactions. And you could feel the excitement to get the party started once the ceremony was completed with a kiss!
We had some fun with during their portraits, including the horses trying to eat Liz’s bouquet! We also were able to do fun shots in the ice cream truck that they brought in for desserts! How fun is that!! From there we had family dances. It was pretty special to have Liz dance with her parents and Alex danced with his mom, dad and brother! I love when the couple’s make everything unique to them!! Especially when they decided to do a cake smash and Alex had a good time trying to find that garter 😉 Check out those pics below!
If you’re looking for a Massachusetts horse farm wedding venue, then this is the spot for you! Your guests will enjoy every minute of the property and you will enjoy being able to have a relaxed, laidback wedding day!
Congratulations to Alex and Liz! I had the best time photographing your wedding day and getting to know you!! Wishing you all the best!
xoxo,
Moe
